What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a treatment used to relieve tension and treat illness. It is based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands, and head. These are linked to every part of the body.  Reflexology is also known as zone therapy.  It considers there is a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands.

Pressure is applied to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger and hand techniques which stimulates energy and releases blockages.

Reflexology treatments are mainly used to release tension and stress. Stress can be a huge factor in worsening many health issues and not dealing with that build up can create blocked energy in your body. Reflexology works to release this tension and therefore relieving this energy blockage. It allows your body to achieve a level of equilibrium, putting it into an ideal state to tackle anything from major to minor health concerns.

On top of releasing this stress, a reflexology session also helps increase blood circulation, release toxins, reduce and diminish pain and can induce a deep state of relaxation.
