Starting this Sunday – this Level 3 ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage is a wonderfully relaxing therapy which involves massage of the shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp, face, ears.

It has been practiced in India for over 1,000 years. It provides Indian families with relaxation and healing on a daily basis, as well as playing a part in rituals such as weddings and births.Indian Head Massage is a highly versatile technique which is very popular for Onsite events, Corporate Events and Festivals.

 

 

How to use Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage can be given at any time, working through clothes, seated on an ordinary chair and with or without oils. The therapist uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face. The session will usually last from twenty to forty-five minutes..

What can Indian Head Massage help?

The soothing strokes on the face and head, combined with deep pressure into the back and shoulders help melt away tension and stress. It can provide relief from aches and pains, insomnia, promote hair growth, soothe, comfort and rebalance your energy flow which can give you a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquility..

What does the course involve?

You will learn how to provide a professional Indian Head Massage; the use of different oils and information on the chakras and doshas.

This course is wonderfully complementary to other therapies including Holistic Body Massage, Reflexology and Reiki to name but a few.

This level 3 diploma course gives you a qualification rather than just workshop based learning. This has the major benefit of being recognized with all the main massage associations and insurers.

This course will cover the components of ITEC Unit 5.
