These fantastic and highly popular one day Introduction to Massage workshops are ideal for people who:

  • want to learn some basic and easy to learn massage skills to use on your partner, friends or family.
  • are potential massage students wishing to explore the idea of a career in massage and to help you make a decision before committing to the longer more intensive Massage Diploma Training *(at a discounted rate – see below)
  • are current massage practitioners that wish to review or fresh their massage skills maybe after a break from their massage career, or when needing some more confidence in their techniques.

This Introduction to massage course runs over one day during which time you will learn to give a basic back, neck, shoulder, head, face and foot massage training.  You will also be receiving a massage from a fellow student.

You can come along as a single massage student or you may wish to book with a friend/partner.  You will learn the massage routine by practising on your fellow students, or if you and a friend book together you will learn by practising with them.

The Introduction to Massage course will also inspire your creative side and is based on fun, relaxation, and developing your intuition.  Handouts will accompany the course. This course will be taught by one of the tutors of the college of Classical Massage,  and brings together a fusion of massage skills from varied styles, to be taught on this day.

“I took the Introduction to Body Massage on January 29th. Michael immediately made me – and all the others in the room – feel welcome and relaxed. Lots of us on the course had come alone, unsure about what to expect, but we were soon paired up and engaged in massaging strangers’ backs! Modesty was, of course, preserved – Michael took care that nobody became embarrassed. I learnt a great deal on this one-day course. It was fun and informative, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. I certainly recommend it.”
Barnaby, Hastings
